That's the headline to Yahoo!'s frontpage 'featured' post this morning. "As expected, the Spice Girls new video is racy, but they're laughing all the way to the bank." Of course.

I'm not sure what to say, besides Blaaaahhhh! If Adam Sandler was doing background vocals then maybe I'd be able to call it comedy. But no. Instead, it looks like a poor hybrid of the movie "eyes wide shut" and a royal lesbian slumber party.

Beyond the prancing and preening, the "song" is utterly boring. Flat. As the Yahoo! article (http://www.yahoo.com/s/731233) points out, the video is really just a commercial for products.

And is it just me, but does anybody else want to slap Victoria Beckham? She is the most disturbingly pretentious and self-absorbed of the lot. And for what? Pouting in high heels.

These "spice" girls have sure come a long way, baby. What a difference a decade makes. They sing about "Friendship never ends." Well it appears that originality and creativity has, since that line is a retread from their first big hit: http://youtube.com/watch?v=M3wgaWAHo...

Wannabe, indeed. Grrrlllll power? I hope our daughters will be more inspired.
