Please come help me tomorrow after StrollerFit!!!

Hi girls! I need your help!!!!!

Some of you may be aware that the Palm Coast Moms' group has requested food supplies from Publix and Winn Dixie to make a meal for the firefighters down in south Flagler who have been battling the fires for the last few weeks. Well, we got our supplies today and we need help assembling sandwiches tomorrow.

I have gotten 2 fully cooked turkeys (am thawing them now) and 10 loaves of bread, 2 big mayos, and 2 mustards. We also received aluminum pans to put everything in.

What I need is a couple extra sets of hands to help me make all these sandwiches! LOL

Can any of you come to my house after StrollerFit on Wednesday and help out? The girls/boys can play in the living room while we assemble. Shouldn't take long once we get into a routine. I'm hoping to have the turkeys thawed enough in the early morning so I can slice the meat before leaving for class.

We're also looking for some moms to take the pans of sandwiches and any side items we can have donated to the "safe areas" where the firefighters rest and eat near the fires. Gail Carson is working on finding out where that will be. So anyoneale to do that is also needed.

I am a wuss and can't keep up with you powerhouse Mamma's at the class YET, but I'll be glad to meet up with you after the class to help out if you'd like? Also if that doesn't work for you I wouldn't mind delivering either. Anything I can do just let me know. Being new to the area I'd need good directions to your house and/or the safe area if you need me. Just let me know.Smiley

Thanks, Lisa!!!  Please do come after StrollerFit.  And trust me, I WILL make you look like a triathlete!  Don't worry!  LOL

We've got about 5 other moms coming rght now, and all helping hands are welcome! 

Here are directions to my house (I live in C section so it's sorta close to Linear Park anyway):

Take Palm Coast Parkway toward the Hammock.

Turn right onto Palm Harbor Parkway just before the toll plaza.

 You will pass European Village on your left.

Go to the four way stop sign and go straight (after stopping, of course!)

Go over the intracoastal bridge.  

You will pass Marina Cove and Tidelands developments on your right.

We are the first street after Tidelands.

Turn right onto Cottonwood Court.  We are the 7th house on the left with the big white (ugly Angry) lighthouse in the front yard.

NOTE:  We are expecting delivery of the rest of our new lanai furniture (YAY!!!!!) tomorrow, so please park in the circular driveway of our neighbors next door (#21 Cottonwood).  They are out of town and are happy to have us use the drive anytime they aren't here and we need extra space.

Claire, I wish so much that I was there to pitch in!  We land at noon tomorrow in JAX.  Kudos to you and all the mom's who are lending your time and efforts to such a wonderful cause.  I sosooooooo wish I was there. If you still need help with anything on Thurs, please call me. even if its just to help you clean up or something. See you Fri. at class.   Denise

You guys are great!  Actually, we've got 9 or 10 moms coming now so we should make VERY short order of making these sandwiches.  Publix gave us 4 fully cooked turkeys, and they're not huge -- maybe 10 pounds each.  I've got them defrosting in the laundry sink now.

 

Lisa -- still debatable if I'm even going to MAKE it to StrollerFit now with all this going on.  Originally I had planned to just cook and take it to a central location, but Gail's son is sick, so we moved the whole shebang over here.  Auuuuggghhh!  And I need StrollerFit so bad!  But I've got to get Mark off to school, bake a chocolate cake (for a party at Shelley's tomorrow night) and then get ready for this sandwich assembly deal.

 

Do you think you'll be able to get here (my house) around 10:45 or so?  Easy to find once you get on Palm Coast Parkway near Linear Park -- just keep going out toward Hammock Island (toll bridge) and take a right.  Call me and I'll walk you through directions if you need!  864 7638.

 

Kelly -- please forgive me if I don't show tomorrow.  Friday DEFINITELY.  Nothing on the calendar except StrollerFit that day! 

 

And Denise -- don't worry about the clean up part!  My housekeeper comes on Thursday morning for her bi-weekly visit!  LOL
