I live in Liberty Township, Ohio and am a first-time stay at home mom of a 20-month old (also mom to daughters Britt, 20 and Kacey 15 with another girl on the way).  I'm looking for playgroups for my toddler daughter.  Help!!

Roni,

I have a playgroup on Meetup.com... it's in New jersey, but I know that there are a lot of playgroups on that site.  Take a look, maybe you'll find something there.  Good luck!

A great way to find moms groups is to go to children's events like story time, at your local library.

I have no idea where Liberty Township is, I ahve heard of it though.  We are in Dayton, north east of town.  Feel free to e-mail me if you think we might be close, I would love to get together (otto1175@hotmail.com).  I ahve two girls, 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 and I baby sit for two kids boy 2 and girl 1 1/2.

I am also excited because your daughter is named Kacey, my youngest is named Kacey!  You do not see it spelled that way often. I just love that spelling.

Talk to you soon,

Keri

You may want to do a search on Yahoo! Groups. There are sooo many playgroups and other types of groups on there...Its a great resource!

Check with your local library about story time, check with your local craft stores about toddler/child craft classes, play at the park, or start your own mom's group and get a group of kids to play with.

Your local Library is a great place...plus it's free. Also Check with your community college. Mine offers loads of kids classes from Art to Dance to Mommy and Me style for ages 2-15. They are reasonably priced too. I plan on signing my daughter and I up for the Me and Mommy art class, it's only 55$ for an 8 week session and that includes supplies. I was taking my daughter to a place called "My Gym" which was loads of fun for her but a little pricey(175$ for 10 week session). There is another like it called "Little Gym"...I don't know if they are in your area. The best place to look for many idea's of what is going on locally is in those free childrens magazines that you can pick up at your grocery store or library.

Smile, it increases your face value! Smiley Jodi
