9 week old won't nap!
What can I do when my 9 week old wakes up 30 minutes into every nap? Until he was about 7 weeks old, he took great naps and nursed routinely, every 3-4 hours. His nighttime sleep was also progressing, and he was just about sleeping through the night. But since about 7 weeks, he has not had hardly any good naps. He wakes at 30 minutes ON THE DOT. I have tried soothing him back to sleep to no avail, and I am at my wits end! The only good thing is that despite his daytime sleep deprivation, he remains a sweet and happy baby almost always! But what can I do??? ![]()

If he's not cranky, there's a chance he just doesn't need all that sleep right at the moment. At 9 weeks, though, I'm sure it's just one of many phases he'll go through.
One suggestion I have is to try some white noise in his room. Turn it one while he's falling asleep, and then leave it on while he's napping (a white noise machine works, or radio static turned down low, or even some very soothing music...anything that blanks out any other background noise).
My guess is, though, that he'll find a pattern that suits him soon enough (and then he'll change again, that's the nature of a baby!)

my daughter did the same thing. at 8wks she stopped napping. try thlis..get a snoedel (onestepahead.com). its like a small blankie that absorbs ur scent. u keep it on u for 2 nights. then place it on baby during naps. it slowly releases ur scent. maybe baby just wants to smell u for assurance. i know how u feel....this too shall pass!
